Water Safety:

Did you know that as of 2004, New York State has made it mandatory for any operators of a jet-ski to hold a current boater safety course certificate. Your family can take the course as a day event and will help bring understanding of the rules and safety issues that are misappropriated from time to time.

Summertime fun in your home:

With the nice weather here, its time to make sure your home has its extreme makeover before the summertime ends. Preventive measures for your home's future is the best way to avoid a claim.

• Cleaning out your gutters from leaves and debris will keep the moisture from growing.
• Watch out for the birds nesting in your dryer or roof vents.
• Trimming and pruning your trees will help any future mold build-up on the roof and this will keep the life span of your current shingle to its warranty.
• Repairing any cracks in your sidewalk or driveway will help the longevity of the pathways. This will help you maintain a safe environment for your family and friends to walk on.
• Also look for loose handrails or steps to avoid any slips or falls.
• When washing your windows to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, check for any cracks that are in need of repair or caulking around the perimeter.

When hiring a contractor for your work, we recommend to secure that they maintain a current certificate of insurance showing workers' comp and GL at a minimum of at least $1,000,000 before you authorize the work to start.
